This is an unhealthy habit and will result in costing you a fortune as lash techs will charge you for A full set again if you have less than 40% of eyelash extension left remaining on your next visit.
There are some things in life that just donβt mix. In this case, weβre talking humidity and lash adhesive.Β Thatβs because extreme humidity can cause the adhesive holding your extensions perfectly in place to weaken. When this happens, the adhesive can become brittle and/or cause a clumpy lash line.
Remember most eyelash extension materials are made from this plastic-like fibre so it can melt from extreme heat.
Please see a trained eyelash technician to have your Eyelash Extensions removed if you no longer wish to have them on. Pulling them out yourself can result in damaging your natural lashes.

Your makeup look is designed to last, and it will warm into your skin as the day/night goes on.Β Emotions happen β if you do cry or sweat be sure to blot your face gently and do not wipe.Β The only part of your makeup that may need touch-ups, is your lip color. I provide you with lipstick to take with you for touch-ups.
Be sure to buy a gentle makeup remover to help remove your makeup at the end of the night.Β One of my favorites is Garnier Sensitive skin Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1 Cleanser & Waterproof Makeup Remover. Gently remove your makeup by using a cotton round or makeup towelette over your eyes. This will remove eye makeup and loosen your false lashes. They should come off with an easy pull. After this, I recommend double cleansing your face and eye area with a gentle cleanser to remove the rest of your makeup, followed by your normal skincare routine.

- Fruit juice.
- Dark chocolate could stain your teeth

As a general rule of thumb, donβt eat any food or have any drink that will stain a white shirt for 48 hours after teeth whitening.
If you must insist on drinking coffee or soda or other dark-coloured drinks,Β just use a straw instead of sipping directly from your mug.Β By using a straw, the liquid will not come in contact with your teeth.Β

HEALING PROCESS
Complete healing takes 6 to 8 weeks. It may seem like the surface of the skin has healed in a few weeks. However, the deeper layers of the skin is still healing. This is why we wait at least 6 weeks before the next treatment.
Your immune system plays a huge part in the healing as well as the ink elimination process. Give yourΒ immune system a boost by getting rest. Drinking plenty of water and eating healthy.

Keep the skin cool and calm
The first 24 hours after your microdermabrasion are the most important when it comes to ensuring the best possible results. Avoid anything that raises your body temperature, such as hot showers, sauna, steam rooms and exercise for the first day after treatment. You need to keep your skin cool and calm, so apply a soothing gel if needed.
Begin a gentle skincare routine
Commence a gentle skincare routine with the products recommended to you by your Dermal technician. This will be
NIGHT TIME ROUTINE | 2-4 DAYS
- Use a gentle cleanser
- Apply a hydrating Moisturiser
DAY TIME ROUTINE | 2-4 DAYS
- Use a gentle cleanser
- Apply a B serum (If recommended by your therapist)
- Apply a SPF15-50+ moisturiser
PRODUCTS TO AVOID FOR THE NEXT 2-4 DAYS
- AHA/BHA
- RETINOL
Stay hydrated
The products used during your microdermabrasion will work to hydrate and rejuvenate the skin. Maintain your skinβs plump, fresh and hydrated appearance by ensuring you drink plenty of water after your treatment.
Donβt pick at your skin
Both our High Performance and Diamond Microdermabrasions include a customised skin peel that helps to rapidly improve your skinβs texture and tone. It works by removing the outermost layer of the Epidermis (skin) and accelerates skin turn over. So, itβs common to experience some peeling of the skin after microdermabrasion. Avoid picking or peeling the skin. If you had a Jessner peel, do not wet your skin for 12 hours after treatment.
Stay sun safe
A microdermabrasion removes dead skin, revealing the soft, new skin underneath. This new skin is particularly susceptible to the harmful rays of the sun. For sun safety and protection, as always, continue to apply your SPF 50+ sunscreen every four hours after a microdermabrasion β especially when outside. We recommend using Β ASAP SPF 50+ moisturiser As itβs silky, lightweight finish that does not leave residue like traditional sunscreen.
- Your skin may feel warm to touch immediately after your procedure and 3-5 days later become a little dry and flaky. This is a completely normal process due to the dead skin cells being stimulated upwards. Once this process is finished, your skin will feel softer and look radiant.
- A feeling of tightness is experienced and a "sunburnt" look is usually apparent immediately after treatment.
- Mild swelling may also occur subsiding over the next 24 hours.
- Slight redness may last 1-3 days but can be covered with mineral make up.
- We advise that you use only gentle products and no active ingredients for the next 5 days following your procedure and apply sunscreen regularly.
- Avoid touching your face for the next few days after treatment.
- Hot baths, showers and saunas should be avoided for at least 3-5 days.
- Ice the treated area for at least 10 minutes every hour. Please don't use ice directly on skin, use a clean towel covering the ice pack. Apply a fine layer of Vaseline ointment (or topical advised by your doctor) to treated areas several times a day if needed to maintain continuous layer on skin for the first 2 days.
- Do not get the treatment area wet for 48 hours and do not apply any cosmetic or cosmeceuticals products on the area except PanthenolΒ when needed.
- Avoid cold compressing or ice packing the area post-treatment! This is very important as it will stop the process of the procedure.
- A mild sunburn-like sensation is anticipated. This usually resolves within 2-3 hours of treatment but may persist for up to 2 days.
- Completely avoid sun exposure to treated areas for the first 48 hours. Apply a zinc-based sunblock daily to sun-exposed treated areas between treatments. After 48 hours soft skincare includingΒ Vit B may be introduced.
- Once crusting has naturally fallen off,Β Vit A & C may be reintroduced.
- After 48 hours, bathΒ or shower as usual. Treated areas may be temperature sensitive. Avoid the use of strongly scented lotions or soaps, prescription-strength exfoliate creams, loofah sponges, and aggressive scrubbing to treated areas during the healing phase.
- Allow any blistered or open areas to heal spontaneously. If healing is delayed, a thin coating of antibiotic ointment may be advised. Do not pick at these areas. Picking may result in infection or scarring. Allow any crusting to heal spontaneously, crusting will resolve in 4Β to 14 days. Application of antibiotic ointment is not recommended for crusting unless infected.
Until redness and discomfort have completely resolved, avoid all of the following:
- Applying cosmetics on treated areas (mineral makeup permitted after 48 hours)
- Swimming, Hot tubs and Jacuzzis
- Activities that cause excessive perspiration
- Avoid sun exposure to treated areas
- Do not pick, scratch or remove scabs as this will cause unwanted side effects
- Increased photosensitivity to UV can occur when taking certain medications. During your treatment programme, if you have commenced or changed dosage with the following medications, you must advise your clinician:
- Antibiotics β doxycycline (acne), minocycline, Tetracyclines, Sulphonamides
- Antihistamines β Diphenhydramine, Cyproheptadine
- Antidepressants
- Herbal preparations β St Johns wort, Gingko Biloba, citrus oils, Herbal HRT therapies
Taking these medications does not exclude you from plasma treatments; however, extra precautions are applicable in these cases.
Healing Process for Plasma treatments
Day 1: Immediately and shortly after treatment, there may be some swelling and fluid retention, especially around the eyes. Swelling is not a bad thing and is a natural part of the healing process, so donβt try to βtreatβ it with anything other than fanning yourself. The eye area is the most prone to swelling, so do expect it and allow yourself a full 24-48 hours to let this subside. Re-apply PanthenolΒ as needed for the first 2-4 days.
Day 1 β 4:Β Especially in the eye area, swelling peaks upon waking, first thing in the morning. Over the course of the first 1-3 days, it is normal for the swelling to migrate down into the under-eye area. This will subside generally through day 3 and be mostly normal by day 4.
- The area will feel hot, like a sunburn for about the first 24 hours. This is normal. The sensation should subside 24 β 48 hours.
- Treatment zones will feel tight both immediately post-procedure and for the first 2 to 4 days.
- You will likely experience the area feeling slightly itchy from days 2-5. This is a normal part of the healing process. DO NOT ITCH OR SCRATCH THE DOTS. DO NOTHING TO ABRADE THEM IN ANY WAY. You can use Mediquattro (purchase from Chemist) to ease the itch if necessary.
- No more pain or discomfort should be felt by Day 4.
Day 5: Beginning around day 5 the dots will begin to shed naturally, on their own, and this will continue possibly up to about day 10. LET THIS HAPPEN NATURALLY, DO NOTHING TO ABRADE THEM IN ANY WAY. Use of Powder mineral makeup is permitted and encouraged from Day 5.
Day 10: By day 10 your carbon dots should be gone, and you can resume your body care, physical activity and makeup use as normal.
IT IS IMPORTANT TO KEEP THE TREATED AREA PROTECTED FROM SUN EXPOSURE.
So that means avoiding direct exposure, covering the area or sunblock for at least 8 weeks.
Week 2 β 4:Β Treated areas slightly pink and could be slightly tender to the touch.
Weeks 5 β 8:Β Continual improvement both in sensation, texture, look and feel. By week 8 the treated area will have completely blended with the untreated areas.
Month 3-6: Reschedule appointment for next treatment
AFTERCARE
- During the first 24 hours, do not wash your face or use any moisturisers or makeup.
- 12-72 hours post-treatment mineral makeup can be applied, but continue to use a gentle cleanser, hyaluronic acid serum and SPF.Β A chemical-free sunscreen is highly recommended.

Apply a hydrating serum or face oil
Dermaplaning can leave your skin feeling a bit dry and sensitive. To combat this, apply a hydrating serum or face oil to help nourish and protect the skin.

Do not wear any makeup for 24 hours.
Youβll want to avoid wearing makeup for at least 24 hours after dermaplaning. This will give your skin time to heal and recover from the treatment.
Avoid touching your face.
Touching your face can introduce bacteria to the skin and cause irritation. So, itβs best to avoid touching your face as much as possible after dermaplaning.
Avoid using harsh skincare products.
Harsh skincare products, such as retinoids or glycolic acids, can irritate the skin after dermaplaning. If you use these products, wait at least a day or two before using them again after your treatment.
Avoid chlorine and swimming pools.
Chlorinated water can dry out and irritate the skin. So, itβs best to avoid swimming in pools or other bodies of chlorinated water for at least 24 hours after dermaplaning. You can shower normally after your treatment.
Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated
Drinking plenty of water helps to keep your skin hydrated from the inside out. This is especially important after dermaplaning since your skin will be more prone to dryness.
Get plenty of rest and relaxation.
Taking some time to relax and de-stress can do wonders for your skin. Consider taking a relaxing bath or reading a good book to help your skin recover from dermaplaning.
